Andréa Ochoa is the founder of BVOF. She is a New York City based Operatic Soprano and Voice Teacher, known for bringing intelligence, joy, and a shimmering instrument to art song platforms and the operatic stage. She is a gifted cross-trained singer, with ease performing both legit and contemporary Music Theatre. Ms. Ochoa is a dedicated and skilled voice teacher, having taught students ages 6-65 over the course of 7 years. Over the past two years, she was an Adjunct Instructor of Voice at NYU Steinhardt, where she taught dozens of students a solidified and healthy technique across all singing genres. She is a recent graduate of NYU Steinhardt, where she earned her Master of Music in Classical Voice Performance and a post-master's Advanced Certificate in Vocal pedagogy.

Giving all glory to God, Nyla Watson is a dedicated performer in the New York City community and a recent grad of New York University (NYU) where she received her Masters in Music Theater Voice. She is also a proud graduate of Baldwin Wallace University’s Conservatory of Music (BW). Notable performances include PBS’ ShowBoat: Live at Lincoln Center with Norm Lewis, Vanessa Williams and Fred Willard, Gigantic the Musical (off-Broadway), the touring companies of Wicked the musical and The Color Purple the musical. Nyla had the privilege of celebrating the 75th Anniversary of the musical Oklahoma! with the Rodgers and Hammerstein estate as a feature soloist in their concert at the 92Y. Nyla was also blessed to have played the roles of Mama Rose in Gypsy and Reno Sweeney in Anything Goes during her time at NYU. Stephanie Scuderi is a freelance performer, director, educator and voice teacher based in New York. Stephanie received her bachelor's degree in Acting from the University of Miami and holds a Master of Music in Vocal Performance with a concentration in Music Theatre from NYU Steinhardt and a post-master’s Advanced Certificate in Vocal Pedagogy from NYU Steinhardt as well. Stephanie is a member of both the National Association of Teachers of Singing and the Pan American Vocology Association. In addition to teaching her own private voice studio, Stephanie has most recently taught voice to undergraduate students at New York University and has an extensive background of over a decade of experience in directing educational theater programs throughout the tri-state area. Stephanie is the founder and CEO of Spotlight Arts Inc., an award-winning and nationally recognized youth theatre company based in Lower Putnam & Northern Westchester, NY.

Christopher Fotis, M.M. — is a classically trained baritone. He received his B.M. from Towson University in Towson, MD and his M.M. from New York University. He also received an advanced certification in vocal pedagogy from New York University. He specializes in classical music and opera, but enjoys studying other genres of music, i.e., musical theatre, Disney and jazz. He believes in a holistic approach to performing and teaching voice, and that each performer has unlimited potential to grow as an artist!

Tyler Dobies is a multidisciplinary artist and performer based in New York, NY. Tyler received his BFA in Acting/Directing from Pacific Lutheran University and holds a MM in Vocal Performance: Music Theatre from New York University. As a performer, favorite credits include: La Liberazione di Ruggiero, Inside Out and Back Again, Bridges of Madison County, Pajama Game, and Nihonjin Face. In addition to his love of musical theatre voice, Tyler has been an active Contemporary Commercial Music singer in both NYU Steinhardt's Contemporary Voice Ensemble with renowned singer Janice Pendarvis and Pop/Rock Ensemble with Dr. Justin John Moniz. As a writer-performer, Tyler has developed, written, and performed three original one-person shows examining themes of identity, otherness, compassion, and collective responsibility, one of which was created during his tenure with the Intiman Emerging Artist Program in Seattle, WA. Finally, Tyler is also an experienced director and music director having worked on the creative teams of Godspell, Love's Labour's Lost, Cats, Rent, Footloose, Hairspray Jr, The Wizard of Oz, Sleeping Beauty Jr, Annie Jr, and other various cabarets and revues.
KRISTYN VAN CLEAVE

A proud California Bay Area native, Kristyn Van Cleave received her Bachelor of Music in Piano Performance from San Jose State University and Master of Music in Collaborative Piano from New York University. At NYU, Kristyn has served as music director for Classical Voice Collective’s “French Cabaret” series and “Songs About Love” at 54 Below, and as assistant music director for “New Student Spotlight” and the Opera Theatre’s production of Mozart’s “The Magic Flute”. She also held an adjunct faculty position teaching Keyboard Skills classes and private piano lessons, in addition to being a staff accompanist for the Vocal Performance department. Outside of NYU, Kristyn has played in masterclasses for renowned collaborative pianists such as Martin Katz, Margo Garrett, and Rita Sloan, and completed a vocal coaching apprenticeship in France. Kristyn has a deep passion for teaching and mentoring young musicians, with over ten years of experience teaching all ages and skill levels. When not sitting at a piano, Kristyn can be found wandering the Impressionist collection at The Metropolitan Museum of Art or trying a new restaurant in Manhattan!
Ciara most recently played "Elsa" in FROZEN (Broadway). Previously starred in Facebook’s STRANGERS, Netflix’s MASTER OF NONE, CBS’s BIG BANG THEORY, and as "Hawkgirl" in CW’s LEGENDS OF TOMORROW, ARROW, and FLASH. She played “Mariana" in MCC Theater’s production of THE WRONG MAN, originated "The Witch" in BIG FISH (Broadway), appeared as "The Leading Player" in PIPPIN (Broadway), and originated “Esmeralda" in THE HUNCHBACK OF NOTRE DAME at the Papermill Playhouse. She also played "Peggy/Maria" in the final lab of HAMILTON. Ciara co-directed (with Michael Dallatorre) the short documentary, BEATING THE ODDS - CHILDREN’S DEFENSE FUND OF CALIFORNIA. AMANDA JANE COOPER
Amanda Jane Cooper most recently concluded her 3-year run as Glinda in WICKED The Musical, serving as the show’s 15th Anniversary Glinda on Broadway, and performing with Kristin Chenoweth and Idina Menzel on NBC. She is one of the longest running actors to ever play Glinda in the history of the show, also floating by bubble across the United States in both the First and Second National Tours. She’s now the face of the role on all national commercials and billboards in Times Square. You’ve seen on screen on shows like “Glee", “Jessie" on Disney, “Selfie" on ABC, “Bones", “CSI", the Hallmark Channel, Lifetime, and more, as well as several films. She created a comedy series called #TheBaeSeries, a solo cabaret called “Somewhere Over the Rainbow” that debuted at 54 Below in New York City. REBEKAH BRUCE PARKER
Rebekah is a freelance Pianist, Vocal Coach, and Music Director based in New York City. Before NYC, she worked on the music and theatre faculty at Oklahoma City University as a music director, vocal coach, diction, and theory professor. She has also worked with the Oklahoma City Philharmonic, Lyric Theatre of Oklahoma, The Pollard Theatre, Edmond Summerstock, Edmond Youth Chorus, Canterbury Choral Society, and the Oklahoma Community Orchestra, among other regional groups. Rebekah most recently worked as Music Director for the First National Tour of Mean Girls the Musical, after performing in the pit and conducting the show on Broadway. She is currently a pianist with the Broadway play The Lehman Trilogy at the Nederlander Theatre. In addition to her work in NYC, Ms. Parker can be found working as a Vocal Director with Celebrity Cruises Entertainment in Miami, FL. Vineel Garisa Mahal is a tenor, voice teacher, and songwriter. He serves as adjunct faculty at New York University where he is a candidate for the Post-Graduate Advanced Certificate in Vocal Pedagogy. He received his B.M. from Southern Methodist University and his M.M. from University of North Texas, both in vocal performance. Recent credits include Albert Herring (Albert Herring), El Gato (Wonderland) NYU Opera, Schoolmaster (Cunning Little Vixen), Oronte (Alcina) UNT Opera, Fakir (Secret Garden) Brickroad Theatre, Lola (Legendary) Fort Worth Opera. He is also the creator of “The Garisa Voice Method,” a wholistic vocal practice that draws from ancient sources such as yoga and the Karnatic classical tradition. This method serves to help students find freedom in their voices through diligent and mindful practice centered around self-discovery and self-love.
